Erdogan Says Turkey Opposes Regional Reshaping Through Conflict
According to reports, Erdogan made the remarks following a Cabinet meeting in Ankara, saying that certain actors are seeking to influence regional outcomes through violence and instability in places such as Gaza, Lebanon, Sudan, and Yemen.
He said Türkiye aims to resist these dynamics while also consolidating what he described as the country’s progress over the past 23 years.
Erdogan also emphasized developments in Türkiye’s defense industry, saying the country is advancing in strategic technologies and “making history” in the sector as part of its long-term national goals.
“There is a Türkiye that stands as an island of stability amid regional tensions,” Erdogan said, adding that the government recognizes its responsibility during a period of major global transformation and must remain focused on priorities rather than internal disputes.
According to reports, he stressed that Türkiye intends to maintain its trajectory amid what he described as a time of significant regional and international change.
